Starting School in September 2026

We are so pleased that you are considering Woodcroft Primary School as your child’s school for September 2026.  Starting school can be an exciting but equally daunting time for both parents and children, which is why we always make every effort to make our transition programme as smooth as possible.

Our School tours are on the following dates:

9:30am, Tuesday 16th September 2025

3:45pm, Thursday 25th September 2025

9:30am, Tuesday 14th October 2025

3:45pm, Thursday 13th November 2025

To book onto a school tour, please contact the school office on 023 92593939.  If these dates do not work for you please let the office know and we will try to accommodate you.

Part of the transition for your child involes the Year R Teacher speaking with your child’s current childcare setting, inviting you and your children into school to ‘stay and play’, meeting the staff and offering information sessions for parents/carers to find out more about the Year R routines and how the children will learn.  All of this usually happens before the summer holidays, so the children can become familiar with their new school.
