Year 4

What an incredibly busy and productive half term!.   Our concert with Year 3, "Shakespeare Rocks!" was fantastic.  Many people have commented that it was the best production ever at Woodcroft Primary, so very well done to all the children.  They became totally engrossed in the play and as a result learnt lots about the life, works and times of William Shakespeare.  Have a look at the gallery of pictures to get a taste of the performances.

When we return in a couple of weeks time, we shall start the summer term studying World War 1.  It is a very short half term, so the studies will be intensive.  The children have been asked to start researching at home and to look and listen out for reports on the 100 year anniversary of the beginning of WW1, which are becoming more frequent in the press and on TV now.  To help them, there is a weblink page of useful websites below.

Over the holidays, we hope you can find time to continue helping your child with learning times tables and reading at every opportunity. We have noticed an improvement, so it must already be happening. Thank you.
